The Treasury Analyst is responsible for continually enhancing the functionality of Chrysler's treasury processes while gaining hands-on exposure to sophisticated financial transactions. As part of the Treasury Process and System Integration team within the Treasury organization, the analyst will evaluate, plan, coordinate and implement process and technology improvements within the Treasury organization. Other responsibilities include the following: (1) Manage the set up and configuration of new financial instruments in the Treasury management system as required to meet the changing nature of treasury activity; (2) Provide technical and analytical support for Treasury operations, as well as other internal clients; (3) Support the ongoing automation of data transfer to and from both internal and external systems; (4) Coordinate with IT on continuous process improvement initiatives, both within Treasury and cross-functionally, and provide ongoing support of implemented projects; (5) Work closely with Treasury, Accounting, IT and external contacts to ensure that the affected processes meet the needs of all constituencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Technology (IT); if no Bachelor's in the aforementioned, must have a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or Accounting
  • Minimum of 4 years of Finance experience, analyzing complex financial data, and presenting the information in a easy to read format
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using treasury management systems (i.e. SunGard's Quantum, Wall Street Systems, etc.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using relational databases (i.e. SQL, Oracle, Access, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with SunGard's Quantum system or similar treasury workstation is desired
  • Treasury experience in a large corporate environment a plus
  • Must have a strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts and ability to apply these concepts in a systems setting
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong issue resolution skills and process-oriented analytical capabilities required
  • "Can-do" attitude--willing to learn and eager to deliver
  • This individual must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with a vision to improving the effectiveness of the Treasury Group
